Astrid McGechan: Last Light at Derwentwater

It was such a miserable day, drizzling every minute, and one of my friends eventually decided that she had enough and returned to base. The rest of us kept our belief that, however slim, there is ALWAYS a chance for a shot and we moved to the shore of Derwentwater near Keswick. And, as if by magic, the clouds started to break within the hour and dissolved enough to give us a most beautiful sunset. This image was photographed with a big stopper, the exposure was just over 5 minutes.
